Creativity is often overlooked in schools, but it is a crucial skill for the 21st century. Teachers face barriers in promoting creativity, such as lack of time and resources. There are misconceptions about creativity, with some teachers believing it is only for certain students. A framework of creative pedagogy is needed to support and encourage creativity in the classroom. Strategies for teaching creativity include creating a supportive environment and addressing barriers such as individual differences and lack of engagement. Collaboration, research, and intrinsic motivation are essential for effectively teaching creativity. Learning environments should encourage divergent thinking, active learning, and customization of content and methods. Teachers play a vital role in fostering creative skills in students and should be supported in creating effective creative learning environments.
