I would like to thank Numero Cromatico and Nodes Journal for organising this talk on the relationship between art and science. The theme is broad and generic, nevertheless it provides the opportunity to reconsider some of my writings on the use of the scientific method for artistic research and the role of the artist as an experimental scientist and not an arbitrary poet, which I will here mention briefly.
