Immagini sull’attualità is a column devoted to the illustrated narration of an event that had a central role in the national and international press.
This section is handed over to academics, artists, and professionals that play around with the theme according to their design and research methods.
The project is curated in collaboration with Untitled Association and includes a limited-edition print signed by the artist. 

 

The third edition of the project curated by Rä di Martino
The topic chosen for Immagini sull’attualità 15-16 is “meet”, one of the most googled words of 2020. The image chosen for the third Nodes Limited Edition Print is “Meet Me”, 2020, Risograph print on Favini Crush Uva 250 g.

 

Biography of Rä di Martino
Rä di Martino (Rome, 1975) studied at Chelsea College of Art and the Slade School of Art in London, then lived in New York from 2005 to 2010; she now lives and works in Rome. She has exhibited in institutions such as Tate Modern in London, MoMA PS1 in New York, Palazzo Grassi in Venice, GAM and Fondazione Sandretto Rebaudengo in Turin, MACRO and MAXXI in Rome, Museion in Bolzano, MCA in Chicago, Hangar Bicocca and PAC in Milan. He has participated in international film festivals such as Festival del film Locarno, VIPER Basel, Transmediale Berlin, Kasseler Dokfest, Torino Film Festival, and the Venice Film Festival, winning the SIAE Award, the Gillo Pontecorvo Award and a special mention at the Nastri d’Argento in 2014 with the film The Show MAS Go On (2014). Her first feature film Controfigura (2017) premiered at the last Venice Film Festival. In 2018/2019 he develops the project AFTERALL, with the support of the Mibac – Italian Council award in collaboration with the Fondazione Volume! presented at the Mattatoio – Palexpo in Rome (2019) and in 2020 at the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen (2020); 2019/2020 she produces a new video “L’eccezione” commissioned and at the Museo del 900 in Florence, which wins the first edition of the Lio Capital award (Milan, 2020). In 2021 she develops the documentary for ARTE “The Garden” and the video on the Theatre of Pontedera “Out of the Theatres”. During summer 2021 she was in residence at the Mahler&Lewitt foundation in Spoleto.
